Derek, I just spend 4 hours listening to your playing on youtube. You drew me in with such feeling for all the myriad pieces, light and pa**ionate, short and long, soft and spanking loud, gentle and strong, with a marvelous mixture of styles, at home with it all. Such a joy you bring to the world! Music is the language of the human heart, as well as the universe. Do you hear the music of the universe? The melodies of Nature? The rhapsody of planets, moons, galaxies, and stars? Do you know the song of life eternally playing at the basis of creation? I would love to hear your expression of those eternal melodies of Nature, the ghandarvas of creation. Listen to the cla**ical Ghandarva Veda music of India. It reflects the eternal rhythms and melodies of creation at it's deepest level. Sink into the ragas and swim in their timeless rhythms, feel the blossoming of their melodies. It's a whole different and deeper world of sound. You will love it, and the world will too. Steve

Dear Derek I attended your concert in the Southbank Centre last week, which I found out about through a friend that day. I was brought up on cla**ical music and have been learning to play the piano for almost a year (I'm 25). I just want to say you have the most extraordinary gift; I have never experienced such perfection.
